Abstract
|

|
We have presented the recent our own experience of diagnostic laparoscopies performed in a total of 10 cases at Cheil Hospital over the five-month period April August 1973.
Among four possible ectopic pregnancy, only one case was confirmatory to be unruptured tubal pregnancy with laparoscopy but the clinical diagnosis proved to be wrong in others.
One .case of unruptured interstitial pregnanany was found unexpectedly with laparoscopy who was initially diagnosed as a normal intrauterine pregnancy and a cases of: double uterus was .confirmed to be a septate uterus, thus the accuracy of our clinical diagnosis proved to be only 50 -percent in this group.
Diagnostic laparoscopy saved at least four exploratory laparotomies.and the immediate surgery could be performed on two cases.
We can draw the conclusion from our own experience, added to the literature, that broader use of such a simple techinique may well yield accurate and earlier diagnosis with minimal risk in gynecological practice.
